Visual Communication Design combines the visual arts, design and technology. Program offers a multidisciplinary study area with an emphasis on technology and creativity. Students gain knowledge and hands on experience in print, time-based and interactive media. Visual Communication Design Program aims at teaching and training designers and artists who will be critical voices and innovators in the creative industry. Department facilities include art studios, photography studio, media and visual communications labs, printmaking studio, wood and metal workshops. Photography, Graphic Design, Advertising, Visual Arts, Print Making, Video, Film, Media and New Media, Publishing, Web Design, and Interactive Design are some of the study areas offered.

CONTENT | The aim of the course; to enable students to understand the importance of typography in the field of design and to design original typographic designs. In this course, the changes in the historical development of the text, the transformation of the text as a typographic element, font types, font features and how to use typographic applications in graphic products in this context are explained theoretically and various examples are shown. In addition, calligraphy and emblem & logotype works are done. In this course, students will learn about different fonts and their features. They learn about character selection and esp and make applications. |
